Regretfully the transmitters originally supplied with Wessex
Liftboy operators are no longer available so it will be necessary to
upgrade the system by installing a new receiver
Our upgrade comprises of a new 433Mhz remote control transmitter and
a
matching radio receiver module that can be fitted to your existing
Liftboy
garage door operator within about 5 minutes with no technical knowledge

Fitting procedure:
Slacken the three terminal screws
approximately four turns only then remove the original receiver unit, connect the three coloured wires from the new Seip
EKR1MCG radio receiver module to the three screw terminals as follows:
black/blue wire to right terminal
blue wire to centre terminal
red wire to left terminal
Re-tighten the terminal screws and attach
the Seip receiver to the rear panel using the
self-adhesive pads provided
as illustrated here
Note: the two
core bell wire from the wall mounted pushbutton switch (if fitted) should remain connected
(see white
wires in image above)

I am writing further to my recent order to thank you for the incredibly
easy upgrade of my old Wessex Liftboy Telectron remote system to the new
Seip EKR1MCG system. Although you have many claims on your website
stating how easy the process is, these jobs never prove that simple when
I get involved(!) but it genuinely was a 5 minute job - everything
worked first time. Also, the range of the transmitter is so much greater
than the old one. I can literally press the button as I come into my
road and the garage door is already open by the time I come on to the
driveway. The product seems well put together too - the mini remote in
particular feels much more sturdy even than my car remote. Your
service and website are fantastic - I was able to work out exactly what
I needed from the images and notes you provide and delivery was prompt,
despite the horrendous weather recently. Thank you once again.

fails, can the new Seip keyfobs be used with a replacement electric operator ? A/ Yes -
Seip are Europe's leading garage door operator manufacturer and the keyfob
transmitters supplied with our upgrade kits are compatible with the
current Seip electric door operator range and if you decide to
purchase a replacement Seip electric door operator from us within 12 months of
buying a remote control upgrade we'll buy back the unwanted Seip receiver unit
at the original purchase price less 50%.
Q/ Can I use the spare button(s) on
Seip keyfobs to control other doors or items around the home ? A/ Yes - Seip produce a range of receivers to enable gates, water
pumps & lights etc. to be controlled by spare buttons on the keyfob .
Q/ Will I still be able to use the
original hand transmitters ? A/ In most cases the original Liftboy receiver may be left
connected in addition to the new Seip receiver to enable both new and
old transmitters to control your door but their is however a possibility
that having two receivers mounted adjacent to each other may result in
reduced range.
(please note: you won't benefit from the improved security of the Seip
rolling code technology until the old receiver is disconnected)
Q/ What is the range
from which I can control the door ? A/ The Seip Midi keyfob has a range of 75 to100 Mtrs whilst the smaller
Mini fob offers slightly less range
