The colour of the buttons on these transmitters indicate the operating frequency so you must order a replacement with the same colour buttons as your original handset.

Early Hormann handsets have a 10 way DIP switch inside the battery
compartment and operate on one of the following radio frequencies :-

173.3Mhz types have an orange sticker inside marked 'GB'- (no longer available - upgrade req'd)
26.975Mhz types have 26975 marked on the back at the top - (no longer available - upgrade req'd)
26.995Mhz types have 26995 marked on the back at the top - (replaced by type HSM27 below or upgrade)

Note: if you are unable to identify the above markings the frequency
may be found on the tuning crystal inside (small metal can)
